What are fillers?

Fillers are injectable gels that give your skin more volume after it loses some with age. Even if your skin naturally lacks volume, fillers can give it a boost in certain areas, like your cheeks or lips, to make you look more youthful. 

During a treatment with fillers at Keehan Dermatology, Dr. Keehan strategically marks the places where he’ll place your fillers and injects them carefully. He makes sure you look more youthful and still like yourself instead of making you look overdone or abnormal. 

Once the treatment is complete, you don’t need to set aside time to spend at home or take time off work to recover. You might see some mild bruising or swelling, but side effects like these diminish within a couple of days.

Restylane products contain hyaluronic acid (HA) instead of CaHA. HA is also found in your body and is plentiful in your joints, eyes, and other places that need lubrication. Restylane-L works against deep wrinkles like marionette lines and nasolabial folds.

Restylane Lyft™ 

Restylane Lyft can give your hands or cheeks a boost in volume and prevent a bony look. 

Restylane Silk

Restylane Silk can boost volume in your lips and minimize lip lines and creases.

Restylane Defyne™ 

Restylane Defyne adds volume to moderate and severe smile and laugh lines. 

Restylane Refyne™ 

Restylane Refyne adds volume to mild and moderate smile and laugh lines. 

How long do fillers last?

The amount of time your dermal fillers last depends on the type you get. CaHA fillers are especially long-lasting because they boost your skin’s natural production of collagen. They last for an average of one year. 

Hyaluronic acid products like Restylane are also long-lasting and your body absorbs them gradually over time. You can enjoy the effects of Restylane fillers for six months to one year.
